Human Experience-Enabled by Energy

As articulated by Wikipedia: In his 1954 book Motivation and Personality, Abraham Maslow fully expressed his hierarchy of needs theory. Maslow used the terms "physiological", "safety", "belonging and love", "social needs" or "esteem", and "self-actualization" to describe the pattern through which human motivations generally move. Let’s think about that model within the context of SolarX|Works - I think we can all certainly agree that there are a series of basic human needs. 

Among these are:

•        A safe and stable food supply that meets the needs of a population and provides the possibility of economic growth.

•        Clean air and water for health, wellness and sustainability.

•        Protection from harsh environmental conditions.

•        Health and well being to maintain a sustainable culture

•        A safe and secure environment in which to learn and grow

•        And the ability to connect with others to disseminate knowledge and facilitate communication

The UN recently reinforced these ideas with The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.

At its heart there are 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.
